Our Technology:
Fundus Camera: Using our fundus camera, we capture clear, high-resolution images of the retina and optic nerve at the back of the eye. This technology supports early detection, documentation, and ongoing monitoring of eye disease by providing a permanent visual record for comparison over time.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): allows us to view the retina in detailed three dimensions, including the individual layers that make up the retinal structure. This advanced diagnostic technology plays a vital role in the early detection and monitoring of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
A glaucoma screening scan is performed for all new patients, with additional targeted scans recommended for those at higher risk. OCT imaging also allows us to track subtle changes over time by creating a permanent baseline record, supporting early diagnosis and ongoing eye health monitoring.
Oculus Keratograph 5M: At Junic Eyecare, we use the Oculus Keratograph 5M, a state-of-the-art diagnostic instrument, to accurately assess and diagnose Dry Eye Disease.
This advanced, non-invasive imaging system allows us to examine the tear film, ocular surface, and eyelid glands in detail—without touching the eye. It helps us identify the type, severity, and underlying cause of your dry eyes, so treatment can be personalised and effective.
Humphrey Visual Field Perimetry: This specialised test maps how well you see across your entire visual field, including areas outside your central vision. It is essential for detecting early vision loss and monitoring conditions such as glaucoma by identifying subtle changes over time.
